Longitudinal Morphomolecular Monitoring of Head and Neck Carcinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A miniaturized endoscopic probe that integrates Raman spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography, enabling simultaneous molecular and structural imaging of living tissue, was developed. Applied longitudinally in a mouse model of head and neck cancer, the system tracks disease progression from precancerous lesions to invasive cancer.

Transposable Element Dynamics Drive the Genomic Evolution and Phenotypic Diversification of Allotetraploid Common Carp

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating 516 whole‐genome resequencing datasets and 236 transcriptomes of allotetraploid common carp, this study establishes the first population‐scale atlas of transposable element (TE) variation in teleost species. TE bursts, relaxed purifying selection, and lineage‐specific loss of ancient insertions shape genome evolution and phenotypic ...

Estimation of Time-Averaged Surface Divergence and Vorticity from Satellite Ocean Vector Winds [PDF]

open access: yes
Two methods of computing the time-mean divergence and vorticity from satellite vector winds in rain-free (RF) and all-weather (AW) conditions are investigated.

Integration of the D‐Genome Reshapes Gene Transcription, Chromatin Architecture, and Metabolome of Allohexaploid Wheat, Leading to Enhanced Environmental Adaptability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integration of the D‐genome reshapes gene transcription, chromatin architecture, and the metabolome of hexaploid wheat, leading to enhanced adaptability to salt, UV‐B, and alkali stress. ABSTRACT The hybridization‐led integration of the D‐genome into domesticated tetraploid wheat gave rise to allohexaploid wheat, the most cultivated wheat globally ...

Measuring Winds From Space to Reduce the Uncertainty in the Southern Ocean Carbon Fluxes: Science Requirements and Proposed Mission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Strong winds in Southern Ocean storms drive air-sea carbon and heat fluxes. These fluxes are integral to the global climate system and the wind speeds that drive them are increasing. The current scatterometer constellation measuring vector winds remotely

Analytical Prediction of Critical Transitions in Oscillator Networks With Non‐Local Links

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An analytical framework reveals how global coupling, second‐harmonic strength, noise, and network structure govern oscillator‐based Ising dynamics. Spectral reduction predicts stability boundaries, while Fokker–Planck analysis captures one‐ to two‐cluster transitions and identifies conditions favoring low‐energy configurations.
