In this research, it is demonstrated that dual nitrogen and sulfur doping in hollow carbon spheres creates a tunable coordination environment that stabilizes cationic Pd single atoms as robust organometallic complexes, enabling high selectivity and stability for electrochemical hydrogen peroxide production under harsh acidic and peroxide‐rich ...

Model-checking Quantitative Alternating-time Temporal Logic on One-counter Game Models [PDF]
We consider quantitative extensions of the alternating-time temporal logics ATL/ATLs called quantitative alternating-time temporal logics (QATL/QATLs) in which the value of a counter can be compared to constants using equality, inequality and modulo ...

The role of hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA)-like axis in inflammatory pilosebaceous disorders [PDF]
Skin is the largest peripheral endocrine organ and functions as a hormone target and endocrine gland. A cutaneous hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA)-like axis enables the skin to respond to stress and regulates its steroidogenic activity.

Polychlorinated biphenyls and organochlorine pesticides in Tiber River and Estuary: Occurrence, distribution and ecological risk [PDF]
The polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) pollution in the Tiber River and its environmental impact on the Tyrrhenian Sea (Central Mediterranean Sea) were estimated.

Apatite occurs in many forms in nature, e.g. in teeth and geological minerals. Internally, biological apatite contains nanocrystals that are also found in synthetically prepared calcium phosphate nanoparticles which are used in biomedicine, e.g. for gene and drug delivery and for bone regeneration. Abstract Calcium phosphate is the inorganic component (

From Low Thrust to Solar Sailing: A Homotopic Approach [PDF]
This paper describes a novel method to solve solar-sail minimum-time-of-flight optimal control problems starting from a low-thrust solution. The method is based on a homotopic continuation. This technique allows to link the low-thrust with the solar-sail

A Parallel Decomposition Scheme for Solving Long-Horizon Optimal Control Problems
We present a temporal decomposition scheme for solving long-horizon optimal control problems. In the proposed scheme, the time domain is decomposed into a set of subdomains with partially overlapping regions.
