Analysis and Application of a 3D Chaotic System with Flexible Offset and Frequency Control

open access: yesEntropy
Signals with flexible control over polarity and frequency provide an essential foundation for reliable and high-speed information transmission. To generate chaotic signals with flexible output characteristics in low-dimensional systems, a novel chaotic ...

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Fundamental theory of coordination efficiency of signalized intersections on an arterial road

open access: yesIATSS Research
In this study, we employed the general formula of the delay per vehicle for the case of one link at two intersections as a function of the link length and offset of traffic signals at two adjacent intersections with the general value of green splits ...

Offset-Free Strategy by Double-Layered Linear Model Predictive Control

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
In the real applications, the model predictive control (MPC) technology is separated into two layers, that is, a layer of conventional dynamic controller, based on which is an added layer of steady-state target calculation.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

The calibration of force offset for rocket engine based on deep belief network

open access: yesMeasurement + Control, 2018
Background Force offset is an important movement and control parameter in rocket motor development process, and its accurate measurement is a vital guarantee of rocket motor reliable operation, so there is an essential significance to achieve accurate ...

Autophagy and mitophagy in pancreatic β‐cell homeostasis and their involvement in diabetes pathophysiology

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

Model Predictive Control Method With NP Voltage Balance by Offset Voltage Injection for Three-Phase Three-Level NPC Inverter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper proposes a predictive control method with offset voltage injection for achieving a neutral point (NP) voltage balance of three-phase three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter, without employing a weighting factor. In order to ensure the

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...
