Modelling of shallow foundations for offshore structures
The numerical modeling of shallow foundations on clay for the offshore industry was discussed. The new models combined with structural analyses predict the behavior of the entire structure system under dynamic loading conditions. The principle of the models was based on work hardening plasticity theory and caissons for offshore wind turbine ...

Unexpected sea fog in the west coast of South Korea had a huge impact on the transportations in the Seoul–Incheon metropolitan area. We reproduced successfully the formation and evolution of a sea event with a transition of air–sea temperature difference using the Weather Research and Forecasting model.

With a minimal physics model and a high‐resolution fully 3D simulation, we demonstrate that the marine atmospheric boundary layer (MABL) response to sea‐surface temperature (SST) variability displays a dependence on the horizontal scales of motion.

OFFSHORE FOUNDATION - A CHALLENGE IN THE BALTIC SEA
ABSTRACT This project deals with the search of the most proper offshore foundation to install in the Baltic Sea, in order to reduce costs and environmental impact. A pre-study was performed to define the Baltic Sea conditions and the required knowledge for the following steps.

This study presents a conceptual framework linking sea‐water temperature Tw gradients to the formation and persistence of sea fog in the southeastern Yellow Sea. Over cold waters maintained by tidal mixing, downward latent heat flux enhances lower‐level stability and sustains persistent sea fog, whereas over warmer waters, upward fluxes and thermal ...

ABSTRACT Corrosion remains a critical threat to the integrity and service life of infrastructure in industries such as oil, gas, construction, renewable energy, and transportation. Traditional inspection methods, being labor‐intensive, hazardous, and often subjective, fall short in addressing modern inspection demands.
