Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow in a Horizontal Microchannel: Pressure Drop and Flow Pattern

Experimental results of oil water two-phase flow in a horizontal microchannel with hydraulic diameter of 677 μm are presented. Two series of experiments were performed. The first one was performed with the microchannel initially saturated with a constant oil flow rate. Water injection was then started and increased stepwise.

Multivariate recurrence network analysis for characterizing horizontal oil-water two-phase flow

Characterizing complex patterns arising from horizontal oil-water two-phase flows is a contemporary and challenging problem of paramount importance. We design a new multisector conductance sensor and systematically carry out horizontal oil-water two-phase flow experiments for measuring multivariate signals of different flow patterns.
