Notes on Species of North American Oligochaeta.

open access: bronzeIllinois Natural History Survey Bulletin, 1900
A list of the earthworms found in North America was published in 1888 by Garman in Vol. III. of this Bulletin, in which those mentioned as occurring in Illinois are three species of Luvibricidce, one of Acanthodrilidae, and one of Perichaeta which had become established in the University greenhouses. To these must now be added seven other species, most

On the origin of the Hirudinea and the demise of the Oligochaeta [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, 2001
The phylogenetic relationships of the Clitellata were investigated with a data set of published and new complete 18S rRNA gene sequences of 51 species representing 41 families. Sequences were aligned on the basis of a secondary structure model and analysed with maximum parsimony and maximum likelihood.

Modelling of climatic tolerances of three earthworm species; Satchellius mammalis, Lumbricus friendi and Lumbricus festivus using Maximum Entropy Modeling [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Zoologica Instituti Zoosystematici et Oecologici Universitatis Budapestinensis, 2022
Earthworm distributions are poorly known and individual species climatic tolerances, even less so. This paper sets out to use three species with a mainly Anglo-French distribution to test out whether using Maximum Entropy Modelling (Maxent) could be ...
