THERMOBAROMETRY OF DEPLETED PERIDOTITES
An assessment was made of the possibility of using olivine thermobarometry for xenoliths of depleted peridotites from the Udachnaya pipe (Yakutia), represented by 76 megacrystalline dunites and 5 megacrystalline harzburgites.

Olivine versus peridotite during serpentinization: Gas formation
The dependence of starting materials and their initial grain sizes on the formation of gases (H-2, CH4, C2H6 and C3H8) during serpentinization was investigated by conducting hydrothermal experiments at 311A degrees C and 3 kbar on olivine and peridotite ...

Artificial intelligence–driven decoupling structure–activity relationship for lithium‐ion batteries
Artificial intelligence can efferently accelerate the high‐throughput screening of battery materials, the analysis of multiphase mechanisms, and the precise prediction of capacity and cycle life. This review systematically summarizes the applications of machine learning (ML) in decoupling the complex structure‐activity relationships of lithium‐ion ...

An interdisciplinary in situ study of jewelled reliquaries of the True Cross integrates gemmology and portable analytical techniques, revealing new evidence on the identification and symbolic role of peridots and other gemstones. ABSTRACT Jewelled crosses containing relics of the True Cross occupy a central position in the devotional, artistic and ...

Deep‐focus earthquakes at 350–660 km are presumably caused by olivine‐spinel phase transformation (PT). This cannot, however, explain the observed high seismic strain rate, which requires PT to complete within seconds, while metastable olivine does not ...

Unusual inclusions within olivine megacrysts in the Dar al Gani 735 shergottite
P(論文)Unusual inclusions occur within olivine megacrysts in the DaG735 olivine-phyric shergottite. They consist of pyroxene and chromite in a ratio of about 2:1, and show strange textures.

Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility in natural olivine single crystals [PDF]
Mantle flow dynamics can cause preferential alignment of olivine crystals that results in anisotropy of physical properties. To interpret anisotropy in mantle rocks, it is necessary to understand the anisotropy of olivine single crystals.

The Age and Origin of Block Deposits in the Victorian Alps, Australia
ABSTRACT Large periglacial block deposits are found in the mountains of southeastern Australia. Despite their widespread distribution, their mode of formation and age are poorly understood. These landforms hold considerable potential to shed light on the nature of cooling during glacial periods. In this paper we present a new study of block deposits in

Mechanochemical activation drives the transformation of a Mo/F‐modified layered/phenakite precursor into a Mn‐rich disordered rocksalt phase. The resulting disordered rocksalt structure improves cation mobility and structural reversibility during cycling, enabling higher reversible capacity and enhanced electrochemical performance.
