Conformation and conformational exchange of Olopatadine hydrochloride
Journal of Molecular Structure, 2008Abstract Besides the assignments of the 13 C and 1 H shifts by 1D and 2D NMR, the experiment 1 H spectra of Olopatadine hydrochloride were recorded at temperature range 228–338 K. The variable-temperature spectra revealed a dynamic NMR effect which is attributed to conformational interconversion of the drug.

Rapid Effects of Olopatadine Hydrochloride on the Histamine‐Induced Skin Responses
Journal of Dermatology, 2002AbstractOlopatadine hydrochloride is one of the second‐generation nonsedating antihistamines that are used for treating allergic disorders such as urticaria, rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis. We examined the inhibitory effects of this drug on the flare and wheal responses induced by histamine iontophoresis at 30, 60, and 90 min after oral administration

Pharmacology, clinical efficacy and safety of olopatadine hydrochloride
Expert Review of Clinical Immunology, 2006Olopatadine is a multimechanism anti-allergic agent that inhibits H(1) receptor activation and stabilizes mast cell membranes, blocking the release of allergic and inflammatory mediators. Studies in human conjunctival mast cells clearly demonstrate, in the relevant tissue and species, olopatadine's inhibition of histamine release, which was ...

Structural and Physicochemical Studies of Olopatadine Hydrochloride Conformational Polymorphs
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2016Crystal and molecular structures of 2 conformational polymorphs (forms I and II) of olopatadine hydrochloride, an antiallergic agent, are presented. Both crystal modifications crystallize in the monoclinic crystal system with 1 olopatadine hydrochloride molecule in the Z configuration in the asymmetric unit.
