Gaia Stellar Kinematics in the Head of the Orion A Cloud: Runaway Stellar Groups and Gravitational Infall [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This work extends previous kinematic studies of young stars in the Head of the Orion A cloud (OMC-1/2/3/4/5). It is based on large samples of infrared, optical, and X-ray selected pre-main sequence stars with reliable radial velocities and Gaia-derived ...

Induced pseudoscalar coupling of the proton weak interaction

open access: yes, 2002
The induced pseudoscalar coupling $g_p$ is the least well known of the weak coupling constants of the proton's charged--current interaction. Its size is dictated by chiral symmetry arguments, and its measurement represents an important test of quantum ...

Molecule Induced Strong Exchange Coupling between Ferromagnetic Electrodes of a Magnetic Tunnel Junction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Multilayer edge molecular spintronics device (MEMSD) approach can produce novel logic and memory units for the computers. MEMSD are produced by bridging the molecular channels across the insulator, in the exposed edge region(s) of a magnetic tunnel ...

A dense molecular cloud in the OMC-1/OMC-2 region

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1976
H2CO emission at 2 mm is seen over a region 30 arcmin in extent which includes OMC-1 and OMC-2. The mass of this cloud, estimated from H2CO and CO observations, is about 7000 solar masses. The velocity pattern is one of rotation, with evidence for fragmentation into two or three distinct condensations.

Fixing disconnects: Exploring the emergence of principled adaptations in a competency‐based curriculum

open access: yesMedical Education, Volume 59, Issue 4, Page 428-438, April 2025.
Abstract Purpose Competency‐based medical education (CBME) promises to improve medical education through curricular reforms to support learner development. This intention may be at risk in the case of a Canadian approach to CBME called Competence by Design (CBD), since there have been negative impacts on residents. According to Joseph Schwab, teachers,

Skills Development for the Twin Transition: Building Transnational Skills Ecosystems Through Experimentalist Governance

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The twin transition to a green and digital economy is linked to the need for new skills in the workforce. However, given the scale and speed of change, it is challenging for policymakers, employers, and educational institutions to predict what skills will be in demand and how to create them.

Time and Policy Diffusion: Analysing Subnational Education Policy in Brazil

open access: yesSocial Policy &Administration, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Time has recently gained prominence as a critical factor in policy diffusion studies at the international level and in studies examining federal systems. Nevertheless, empirical research investigating the role of time in subnational policy diffusion processes remains scarce.
