Optimizing Post Friction Stir Welding Heat Treatment in Dissimilar Friction Stir Welded 6061/AlSi10MgMn Joints for Electrical Vehicle Battery Housing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Microstructural evolution and hardness optimization along the cross‐section of friction stir welded AA6061/AlSi10MgMn joints, for electric vehicle battery housings, were investigated. Postweld aging between 170°C and 220°C enhances hardness uniformity within the nugget zone.

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Pseudoscalar production at omega omega threshold in J/psi -> gamma omega omega

open access: yes, 2006
The decay channel J/ ->gamma omega omega, omega -> pi+ pi- pi0 is analyzed using a sample of 5.8x10^7 J/psi events collected with the BESII detector. The omega omega invariant mass distribution peaks at 1.76 GeV/c^2, just above the omega omega threshold.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Sessile drop on oscillating incline [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Natural or industrial flows of a fluid often involve droplets or bubbles of another fluid, pinned by physical or chemical impurities or by the roughness of the bounding walls.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Biosynthesis of highly unsaturated fatty acids by hydrocarbon degrading microorganisms [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of BioScience and Biotechnology, 2015
Disruption of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) metabolism leads to many diseases. In this study, producers of γ-linolenic acid (GLA), arachidonic acid (ARA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) were selected: Cephalosporium humicola IE (on glucose, dry ...
