Synthetic Peptide Inhibition of Trypsin‐Like Proteases in Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae): Evaluating the Influence of Gut Microbiota

open access: yesArchives of Insect Biochemistry and Physiology, Volume 121, Issue 3, March 2026.
Synthetic peptides (GORE1 and GORE2) inhibit trypsin‐like proteases in Spodoptera frugiperda, impairing digestion and nutritional performance. Microbiota disruption did not markedly alter enzymatic inhibition but modulated certain developmental responses.

A Systems Engineering Methodology for System of Autonomous Systems: Architecture and Integration

open access: yesSystems Engineering, Volume 29, Issue 2, Page 169-194, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) rapidly transform systems by providing autonomous capabilities. This new class of systems can become a constituent system in a system of systems (SoS) to evolve it into a system of autonomous systems (SoAS).

Kinship through code, personhood as node: AI afterlives and new technologies of the self Parenté par le code, personne nodale : vie posthume dans l'IA et nouvelles technologies du moi

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 150-166, March 2026.
This article examines how emerging generative AI technologies in Europe and North America are being used to reanimate the dead, prompting users to define the ‘edges’ of self and personhood through coding practices. These technologies invite new engagements with fundamental questions of relatedness and the construction of the self, challenging and ...
