Oncolytic vaccinia virus and cancer immunotherapy
Oncolytic virotherapy (OVT) is a promising form of cancer treatment that uses genetically engineered viruses to replicate within cancer cells and trigger anti-tumor immune response. In addition to killing cancer cells, oncolytic viruses can also remodel the tumor microenvironment and stimulate a long-term anti-tumor immune response.

Rational engineering of microRNA-regulated viruses for cancer gene therapy [PDF]
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small noncoding RNA molecules that have important regulatory roles in a wide range of biological processes. miRNAs are often expressed in a tissue- and/or differentiation state-specific patterns, and it is estimated that miRNAs can

EXTH-08. REPLACEMENT OF MICROGLIA BY BRAIN-ENGRAFTED MACROPHAGES PREVENTS MEMORY DEFICITS AFTER THERAPEUTIC WHOLE-BRAIN IRRADIATION [PDF]
Microglia have a distinct origin compared to blood circulating myeloid cells. Under normal physiological conditions, microglia are maintained by self-renewal, independent of hematopoietic progenitors. Following genetic or pharmacologic depletion, newborn
