[Seasonal changes of glucose levels in Oncomelania hupensis].
Zhongguo xue xi chong bing fang zhi za zhi = Chinese journal of schistosomiasis control, 2015To study the seasonal changes of glucose levels per unit soft tissue of Oncomelania hupensis.O. hupensis snails were collected from the beach of the Qingyi River in Wuhu City, Anhui Province from August 2012 to July 2013. They were kept in minus 80 degrees C refrigerator immediately.

[Wetland protection and Oncomelania hupensis control].
Zhongguo xue xi chong bing fang zhi za zhi = Chinese journal of schistosomiasis control, 2014The wetland is the unique ecosystem that is formed by the interaction between water and land on the earth surface. At present, the wetland ecology and wetland protection is becoming a more and more attention. Oncomelania hupensis is also a wetland creature that is the only snail host for spreading schistosomiasis japonica.

[Extraction and morphological observation of Oncomelania hupensis haemocytes].
Zhongguo ji sheng chong xue yu ji sheng chong bing za zhi = Chinese journal of parasitology & parasitic diseases, 2014Haemocytes were collected from Oncomelania hupensis snails by using tissue disruption and filtration method, stained by Giemsa and methylene blue, respectively, and observed under microscope. Number of haemocytes from one snail was counted. Out of 54 haemocytes, 3 types of cells were found: big round cells with particles, small round cells with oval ...

[Poison effect of plant granules on Oncomelania hupensis].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2002Plant granules (phi 2-3 mm) made of starch, gelatin and medicine plant powder were used to kill Oncomelania hupensis. The results showed that after eating the plant granules, the mortality of the snail was 92.5%-100% within 24 hrs. The poison effect of the plant granules was much better than that of others, e.g., they could kill snails 12-24 h earlier ...

[Research progress of control techniques on Oncomelania hupensis].
Zhongguo xue xi chong bing fang zhi za zhi = Chinese journal of schistosomiasis control, 2018Oncomelania hupensis is the only intermediate host of Schistosoma japonicum. The elimination of Oncomelania snails is the key technique step for schistosomiasis control. This paper summarizes the progress of the techniques of snail control, including the methods of ecology engineering, biology, molluscicides and the study on novel molluscicides, and ...
