Sustainable Composites From Almond Shell Powder and Recycled Polyolefin Blends: Effect of Compatibilizer on Interfacial Adhesion and Properties

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 16, Page 14510-14527, 20 August 2026.
Schematic illustration of sustainable recycled polyolefin/almond shell composites showing the effect of MA‐g‐PP compatibilizer on interfacial adhesion, void reduction, and composite morphology for lightweight automotive applications. ABSTRACT This study reports injection‐molded sustainable composites developed from a hybrid recycled polymer matrix ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 8, Page 1963-1985, August 2026.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Gestational Feed Restriction Induces Differential Expression of Novel Long Non‐Coding RNAs in Offspring Skeletal Muscle

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 57, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate how maternal feed restriction at different gestational stages alters the expression of novel long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the skeletal muscle of goat offspring. LncRNAs are emerging as important regulators of biological processes, including myogenesis, yet their role in fetal programming remains largely ...

Diversity and Distribution Patterns of Insects in Nigeria: A GBIF‐Based Appraisal

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
Insect diversity in Nigeria is high, with 5880 species. Diversity differs between biomes. Current diversity represents ~21 of the estimated ‘true’ diversity. ABSTRACT Insects provide essential ecosystem services and are key indicators of ecosystem health.

‘Free to Be Me?’: Gender Role Norms Constrain Career Interests Less for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual People Than for Heterosexual People

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 56, Issue 5, Page 903-921, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Societal gender role norms play a crucial role in shaping men's and women's career aspirations. However, prior research documenting this key role of gendered norms has primarily focused on heterosexual women and men in the global North‐West. Previous studies documenting differences in career interests by sexual orientation suggest that gender ...
