Matrix Viscoelasticity Regulates Dendritic Cell Migration and Immune Priming
Matrix viscoelasticity is a key mechanical feature of the tumor microenvironment but remains poorly understood in immune regulation. Here, we develop a tunable collagen platform to decouple viscoelasticity from stiffness and show that slow‐relaxing matrices constrain dendritic cell migration by limiting actomyosin‐driven matrix remodeling, thereby ...

ABSTRACT Bone tissue regeneration is a complex physiological process dependent on the spatiotemporal coordination of immune cells and stem cells. Conventional research primarily elucidates the mechanism through which materials facilitate bone formation by initially modulating macrophages and subsequently encouraging the osteogenic differentiation of ...

A Novel Algorithm for Multi-Criteria Ontology Merging through Iterative Update of RDF Graph
Ontology merging is an important task in ontology engineering to date. However, despite the efforts devoted to ontology merging, the incorporation of relevant features of ontologies such as axioms, individuals and annotations in the output ontologies ...

Scalable manufacturing challenges and limited potency remain two of the most intransigent issues limiting clinical translation of EV therapeutics. Mechanical cues can induce phenotypic changes and increased vesiculation in EV source cells without the use of extraneous reagents, chemicals, and/or cargo, thereby potentially drastically improving the ...

This study presents a new biodegradable coating for titanium implants using a natural antimicrobial peptide, caerin 1.9. Applied via solvent casting, the coating offers sustained antibacterial protection and promotes healing. Tested on 3D‐printed porous titanium scaffolds, it effectively prevented infection—including against resistant bacteria—while ...

Ontology alignments: an ontology management perspective
Relating ontologies is very important for many ontology-based applications and more important in open environments like the semantic web. The relations between ontology entities can be obtained by ontology matching and represented as alignments. Hence, alignments must be taken into account in ontology management.

Evaluating ontology alignment methods
Many different methods have been designed for aligning ontologies. These methods use such different techniques that they can hardly be compared theoretically. Hence, it is necessary to compare them on common tests. We present two initiatives that led to the definition and the performance of the evaluation of ontology alignments during 2004.

Auditory–Tactile Congruence for Synthesis of Adaptive Pain Expressions in RoboPatients
In this work, we explore auditory–tactile congruence for synthesizing adaptive vocal pain expressions in robopatients. Using a robopatient platform that integrates vocal pain sounds with palpation forces, we conducted 7680 trials across 20 participants.

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.
