Electronically Reconfigurable Dual-ModeMicrostrip Open-Loop Resonator Filter

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2008
A new type of reconfigurable asymmetric frequency response bandpass filter using dual-mode open-loop resonator is investigated. It explores the unique characteristic of the dual-mode open-loop resonator whose two operating modes, i.e., the even- and odd-modes do not couple.

Dual-Mode Microstrip Open-Loop Resonators and Filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2007
A miniature dual-mode microstrip open-loop resonator is proposed. Distinct characteristics of this new type of dual-mode resonator are investigated using full-wave electromagnetic simulations. It is shown that the two operating modes, i.e., the even and odd modes, within a single dual-mode resonator of this type do not couple.

Hexagonal micropillar cavities: multimode resonances and open-loop resonance linewidth broadening

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
We report our proof-of-principle experiment and modeling of hexagonal micro-pillar cavities. A commercial hexagonal silica fiber (125μm plane-to-plane) was side-coupled perpendicularly with a Gaussian beam, thus the fiber acted as a μ-pillar cavity. We observed multimode resonances with typical Q ≈ 2,500 in the tangential directions that are ≈ 120° to ...

Cross-Coupled Bandpass Filter using Microstrip Triangular Open-Loop Resonators

2001 31st European Microwave Conference, 2001
A new cross-coupled planar microwave filter is proposed using coupled microstrip triangular open-loop resonators. The full-wave EM simulator is used to design the triangular resonator and to calculate the coupling coefficients of three basic coupling structures encountered in this type of filter.

Compact Filter Configurations Using Concentric Microstrip Open-Loop Resonators

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2012
This paper presents two highly compact filter configurations using concentric open-loop resonators. A description of each filter configuration is presented, where a linkage between structural features and coupling coefficients is outlined. A third order trisection and a fourth order source-load coupled filter were designed and fabricated at 1.0 GHz ...

Compact wideband bandpass filter using two open loop resonators

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2013
AbstractIn order to obtain a wideband passband filter, a compact filter with two open‐loop resonators has been designed and fabricated, which has introduced two transmission zeros at the passband's upper frequency area. The proposed topology is demonstrated with a design operating at 5.19 GHz with 19.7% bandwidth. More than 20 dB of spurious suppression

Design of Lowpass Filter Using Complementary Open-Loop Resonators

2008 China-Japan Joint Microwave Conference, 2008
In this paper, a new methodology for the design of compact planar lowpass filters in microstrip technology is proposed. This is based on cascading filter stages consisting of the combination of complementary open-loop resonators (COLR), proposed by the authors for the first time, and open stubs.

Improvement of microstrip open loop resonator filter using aperture

2002 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.02CH37278), 2003
Apertures has been employed on the ground plane in the open loop resonator filter. The bandwidth has been widen maximally 40% and the passband ripple has been flatten compared with the conventional open loop resonator filter. The coupling spacing between loops has been widened to easily implement filter.

Open loop synchronous rectifier driver for LLC resonant converter

2013 Twenty-Eighth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2013
Synchronous rectifier (SR) is widely used in LLC resonant converter to reduce the conduction loss. Due to different operation modes, the SR control is complicated and increases system cost. In this paper, based on the observation on LLC diode conduction time, an open-loop fixed-on-time SR driving method is proposed.

Compact band pass filter using triangular open loop resonator

2017 Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Fall (PIERS - FALL), 2017
Recent developments in wireless communication challenges microwave filters with more demanding requirements such as small size, light weight, high performance and low cost. Microstrip resonator have the higher performance than the conventional filtering technique for microwave devices.
