Design of Lowpass Filter Using Complementary Open-Loop Resonators

In this paper, a new methodology for the design of compact planar lowpass filters in microstrip technology is proposed. This is based on cascading filter stages consisting of the combination of complementary open-loop resonators (COLR), proposed by the authors for the first time, and open stubs.

Microstrip low‐pass filter using open loop resonators

AbstractA compact open loop resonator microstrip low pass filter is modeled. To optimize the performances of the filter, electromagnetic simulation is used to tune the dimensions of proposed prototype. Cascading of open loop resonator provides a very sharp cut off and wide stop band with minimum insertion loss.

Open loop synchronous rectifier driver for LLC resonant converter

Synchronous rectifier (SR) is widely used in LLC resonant converter to reduce the conduction loss. Due to different operation modes, the SR control is complicated and increases system cost. In this paper, based on the observation on LLC diode conduction time, an open-loop fixed-on-time SR driving method is proposed.

Improvement of microstrip open loop resonator filter using aperture

Apertures has been employed on the ground plane in the open loop resonator filter. The bandwidth has been widen maximally 40% and the passband ripple has been flatten compared with the conventional open loop resonator filter. The coupling spacing between loops has been widened to easily implement filter.

Cross-Coupled Bandpass Filter using Microstrip Triangular Open-Loop Resonators

A new cross-coupled planar microwave filter is proposed using coupled microstrip triangular open-loop resonators. The full-wave EM simulator is used to design the triangular resonator and to calculate the coupling coefficients of three basic coupling structures encountered in this type of filter.

A side-coupled microstrip open-loop resonator is presented for design of harmonic-suppressed bandpass filters with compact size. In geometry, the open-ended microstrip feed line is put in close proximity to the loop resonator at the opposite side of an opened-gap.

ANN Modelling of Planar Filters Using Square Open Loop DGS Resonators

This paper presents a novel modelling method for planar defected ground structure (DGS) square open loop resonator filters. The increased complexity of the coupling mechanism between the resonators and the impossibility to analytically calculate the coupling coefficients created the need of accurate modelling of the coupled resonators.
