Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Derivation of a tangent function using an integrated circuit four-quadrant multiplier [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
A tangent function generator is provided which utilizes input signals proportionate to the sine and cosine of a given angle. The equipment accomplishes a trigonometric manipulation which forms an output signal substantially independent of the input ...

Surrogate modeling of RF circuit blocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Surrogate models are a cost-effective replacement for expensive computer simulations in design space exploration. Literature has already demonstrated the feasibility of accurate surrogate models for single radio frequency (RF) and microwave devices ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Design of a low offset operational amplifier for current detection

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong
Aiming at the requirement of current detection for operational amplifier performance, a new low offset operational amplifier circuit is proposed. The closed-loop current sampling circuit is composed of low-loss op-amp, PMOS tube and resistor.

Chaos in a Non-Autonomous Inductorless Active-RC Circuit

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1995
Chaotic performance of a simple inductorless active-RC non-autonomous electronic circuit is reported. The circuit uses two operational amplifiers, an operational transconductance amplifier, a diode, two resistors, and one capacitor only.

Coulometer battery state-of-charge indicator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Mercury-column electrochemical coulometer is a linear ampere-hour integrating device consisting of a sealed glass tube containing two columns of mercury separated by a gap containing an electrolyte. The drive circuit uses operational amplifier techniques

Assessment of ecosystem integrity of lowland dipterocarp forest ecosystem using remote sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Ecosystem Integrity Index (EII) is a concept to determine the quality or the health of an ecosystem. The EII development can assist forest managers and decision makers in the conservation effort and forest management in Malaysia through the development ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
