In this chapter we present selected results from functional analysis that will be called upon in subsequent chapters. We present only a few basic ideas but we shall make frequent use of these in the sequel. For the reader who is familiar with operator-theoretic formulations of partial differential equations this chapter should provide a useful summary ...

The realization problem for time-varying systems is to find a (minimal) state space description for the input-output operator of a time-varying system, solely based on the collection of time-varying impulse responses. An important role in its solution is played by the Hankel operator, which is a restriction or suboperator of the input-output operator ...

Chapter 4 comes as a critique of what I call, as a tribute to Philip Roth’s novel, “theory’s Operation Shylock,” i.e., recent celebrations of Diasporic Jewry, irrational demonization of Zionism and of the Jewish state, and, more seriously, ungrounded condemnation of a contemporary Jewry supposedly turned reactionary due to its support for the U.S.

The first two parts of the book dealt almost exclusively with algebraic techniques. The third and fourth part were devoted to analytic methods. In this introductory chapter, we shall try to unite these two branches of mathematics to gain insight into the nature of some of the important equations in physics and their solutions.

This section is devoted to specialising several results of the preceding chapter to the case of a ‘singly generated’ commutative C*-algebra, or equivalently to the case of C(∑) where ∑ is a compact subset of the complex plane, or equivalently, to facts concerning a single normal operator on a separable Hilbert space.

Operational Superunification Theory
The Operational Superunification Theory (OST) redefines spacetime as a supersolid condensate of a complex scalar field Φ = |Φ|eiθ, structured as a crystalline lattice at the Planck scale (lp ≈ 1.616 × 10−35 m). This framework unifies general relativity (GR) and quantum mechanics (QM) by replacing black hole singularities with quantized topological ...openaire +1 more source
