Population Pharmacokinetics and Transfer of Gabapentin When Used as a Pain Adjunct for Cesarean Deliveries

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 551-560, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols for cesarean deliveries (CDs) utilize multimodal pain management strategies that often include gabapentin. While gabapentin is excreted in breast milk, its pharmacokinetics in immediately postpartum lactating women are not known. This observational pharmacokinetic study (NCT05099484) enrolled 21

An Age‐Friendly Approach to Caring for Chronic Lung Disease in the Ambulatory Setting

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many common chronic lung diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and interstitial lung disease (ILD), have much greater prevalence among older adults and as a result, pose a substantial burden of morbidity, disability, and mortality. The care of older adults with chronic lung disease necessitates an age‐friendly approach

Nanoelectronic Detection of Opioids: Machine Learning‐Powered Screening With Carbon Nanotube Field‐Effect Transistor Sensor Array

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A carbon nanotube field‐effect transistor (NTFET) sensor array is constructed to screen different opioids with machine learning models. Codeine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, and morphine are tested using the NTFET sensor array and classified with both conventional supervised learning models and deep learning models.
