A Unified Requirements‐Architecture System Model—Development and Empirical Evaluation

open access: yesSystems Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Moving systems engineering's center of gravity from text documents to digital models, model‐based system engineering (MBSE) facilitates collaboration, reduces errors, and improves system understanding, but systems engineers often face challenges when they start working with MBSE, as they need to consider and model textual requirements as a ...

Plate tectonics in the microscopy realm: Molecular insights into morphological variability of Peridinium willei (Peridiniales, Dinophyceae)

open access: yesTAXON, EarlyView.
Abstract Freshwater Peridinium willei (Peridiniaceae) is globally distributed, but reports linking its morphologies with DNA sequence data remain scarce. The taxonomy of the species, and its infraspecific taxa, remain ambiguous due to the lack of DNA sequence data for the original and type material.

The Gradient of Spontaneous Oscillations Across Cortical Hierarchies Measured by Wearable Magnetoencephalography

open access: yesTechnologies
The spontaneous oscillations within the brain are intimately linked to the hierarchical structures of the cortex, as evidenced by the cross-cortical gradient between parametrized spontaneous oscillations and cortical locations.

Application of a novel molecular diagnostic method to examine the spatio‐temporal trends of Carcelia iliaca, a larval parasitoid of oak processionary moth (Thaumetopoea processionea)

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, EarlyView.
The oak processionary moth is an invasive pest in the United Kingdom that threatens biodiversity and public health, with rising control costs highlighting the need for sustainable management alternatives Conservation biocontrol using the parasitoid fly Carcelia iliaca is promising but key biological data gaps hinder evidence‐based policy development. Protective Role for Itaconate During Inhaled Allergen Challenge

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Itaconate levels decrease in sputum following allergen inhalation in mild asthmatics, suggesting a dynamic metabolic response to airway challenge. Genetic deletion of Acod1 in mice did not alter airway inflammation or remodelling in response to chronic HDM exposure.

Development and optimization of optically pumped magnetometers for brain imaging [PDF]

open access: yes
Portable and compact optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) offer new research possibilities that are not achievable with conventional systems (SQUIDs) for brain recordings based on magnetoencephalography (MEG).

Modular optically-pumped magnetometer system

open access: yes, 2021
We describe a modular optically-pumped magnetometer (OPM) system which enables fast prototyping and testing of new measurement schemes. Quick reconfiguration of self-contained laser and sensor modules allow easy construction of various array layouts. The

Structural and organisational impacts of peri‐operative enhanced care services in the UK: a Retrospective Evaluation of Postoperative Alternatives to Critical Care (REPACC)

open access: yesAnaesthesia, EarlyView.
Summary Introduction The enhanced care model of peri‐operative care has evolved to meet increasing surgical demand, aiming to relieve pressure on critical care and prevent unnecessary cancellation of surgery. Despite widespread adoption of these facilities in the UK, no resources currently describe the national landscape of enhanced care or the ...

A systematic review on artifact removal and classification techniques for enhanced MEG-based BCI systems

open access: yes, 2023
Neurological disease victims may be completely paralyzed and unable to move, but they may still be able to think. Their brain activity is the only means by which they can interact with their environment.
