Optical crosstalk reduction using amplified spontaneous emission (ASE)
We employ spectrally filtered amplified spontaneous emission as the signal carrier and matched local oscillator to mitigate optical crosstalk. We demonstrate polarization crosstalk reduction in single-mode fiber transmission and modal crosstalk reduction

Fibre segment interferometry using code-division multiplexed optical signal processing for strain sensing applications [PDF]
A novel optical signal processing scheme for multiplexing fibre segment interferometers is proposed. The continuous-wave, homodyne technique combines code-division multiplexing with single-sideband modulation.

Characterization of optical fiber imaging bundles for swept-source optical coherence tomography [PDF]
Fiber imaging bundles have been investigated for use in endoscopic optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems, to obviate the requirement for scanning components within the endoscope probe section.

Synechocystis strains deficient in succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) secrete more succinate than the WT under dark anaerobic conditions, supporting that SDH then primarily acts as SDH, not as a fumarate reductase. L‐aspartate oxidase (Laspo) from Synechocystis is functional under anaerobic conditions, reducing fumarate to succinate.

The lateral displacement between the microlens arrays can realize the rapid deflection of a beam; however, in this process, crosstalk beams will inevitably occur between the microlens units, which will affect the imaging quality of the system.

CMOS pixels crosstalk mapping and its influence on measurements accuracy for space applications [PDF]
Due to different local intra-pixel sensitivity and crosstalk between neighboring pixels, the Pixel Response Function of detectors (PRF - signal of the pixel as a function of a point source position) is generally non-uniform.

Scalability of Optical Interconnects Based on Microring Resonators [PDF]
This letter investigates the use of optical microring resonators as switching elements (SEs) in large optical interconnection fabrics. We introduce a simple physical-layer model to assess scalability in crossbar- and Benes-based architectures. We also ...
