PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Quantum efficiency improvement of optical radiation trap-detectors

open access: yesSemiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics & Optoelectronics, 2019
The ways to increase the quantum efficiency of trap detectors of optical radiation have been discussed. Presented here has been a brief review of trap detectors, in which high quantum efficiency is ensured by their design.

HIGH-EFFICIENCY AUTONOMOUS LASER ADAPTIVE OPTICS

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2014
As new large-scale astronomical surveys greatly increase the number of objects targeted and discoveries made, the requirement for efficient follow-up observations is crucial. Adaptive optics imaging, which compensates for the image-blurring effects of Earth's turbulent atmosphere, is essential for these surveys, but the scarcity, complexity and high ...

Implications of WMAP Observations On the Population III Star Formation Processes

open access: yes, 2003
In an earlier paper (Cen 2003) we pointed out the strong likelihood for the universal reionization to occur twice, giving rise to a larger Thomson optical depth.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Highly Efficient Luminescent Solar Concentrators Based on BODIPY Derivatives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces
Three new chromophores based on difluoroborondipyrromethene dyes (Bodipy‐1, Bodipy‐2, and Bodipy‐3) are used as precursors to prepare luminescent solar concentrators (LSC) based on poly‐acrylate, following a thermally activated polymerization involving ...

Analysis of terahertz generation using tilted-pulse-fronts

open access: yes, 2018
A 2-D spatio-temporal analysis of terahertz generation by optical rectification of tilted-pulse-fronts is presented. Closed form expressions of terahertz transients and spectra in two spatial dimensions are furnished in the undepleted limit. Importantly,
