Mutual optical injection locking dynamics between a terahertz single-mode laser and a frequency comb laser [PDF]
Frequency combs are powerful tools for precision metrology, spectroscopy, and communications. In the terahertz (THz) domain, the quantum cascade laser (QCL) offers an on-chip platform for self-started comb generation via four-wave mixing.

Optical pump assisted broadband terahertz frequency comb
A broadband terahertz (THz) frequency comb assisted by an optical pump in THz quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) is investigated theoretically and numerically through a Maxwell–Bloch model combined with the coupled wave theory.

Optimization of acousto-optic optical frequency combs
Acousto-optic optical frequency combs can easily produce several hundreds of mutually coherent lines from a single laser, by successive frequency shifts in a loop containing an acousto-optic frequency shifter. They combine many advantages for multi-heterodyne interferometry and dual-comb spectroscopy.

Optical Frequency Combs Generated by Acousto-Optic Frequency-Shifting Loops [PDF]
A recirculating loop that includes an acousto-optic frequency shifter (AOFS) constitutes a versatile procedure to generate an optical frequency comb (OFC) from a continuous wave (cw) laser. This scheme, implementable with conventional fiber equipment, is capable of producing spectra composed of at least hundreds of coherent lines using a single-stage ...

Frequency-comb-induced radiation pressure force in dense atomic clouds
We investigate the frequency comb induced radiation pressure force acting on a cloud of cold $^{87}$Rb atoms. Reduction and spectral broadening of the frequency comb force are observed as the cloud's optical thickness is increased.

Controllable Kerr and Raman-Kerr frequency combs in functionalized microsphere resonators
Optical frequency comb (OFC) based on the whispering-gallery-mode microresonator has various potential applications in fundamental and applied areas. Once the solid microresonator is fabricated, its structure parameters are generally unchanged. Therefore,

Control of Frequency Combs with Passive Resonators
Tailored optical frequency combs are generated by nesting passive etalons within mode-locked oscillators. In this work, the oscillator generates a comb of 6.8 GHz with 106 MHz side-bands.

Microresonator frequency comb optical clock
Optical-frequency combs enable measurement precision at the 20th digit, and accuracy entirely commensurate with their reference oscillator. A new direction in experiments is the creation of ultracompact frequency combs by way of nonlinear parametric optics in microresonators.
