Adaptive optical interconnection
Optics Letters, 1991We explore the ability of a double phase-conjugate mirror to compensate for thermal, vibrational, and other environmental fluctuations. This property lends itself to the establishment and maintenance of bidirectional optical interconnections. We further introduce a bidirectional interconnection scheme that utilizes two wavelengths.

Dynamic optical interconnections
Optics Letters, 1987An optical configuration is described that uses an addressable reflective component (a liquid-crystal light valve) permitting free-space interconnections between points located on the same substrate. The scheme is attractive for generating programmable interconnections between electronic elements located on the same chip or wafer, in particular since ...

Silicon Photonics Beyond Optical Interconnects
2021 IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM), 2021In this paper we present the use of a 300mm Si-Photonic platform for applications beyond the data communication. Beam steering and beam shaping for free-space-optics and hybrid III - V/ Si optical switch for computing applications are discussed.

Photorefractive Dynamic Optical Interconnects
SPIE Proceedings, 1988We present and demonstrate a set of dynamic optical interconnects which are based on the double phase conjugate mirror with photorefractive wave mixing. These devices are bidirectional, self-adjusting, and controllable in real time. Uses in various interconnection modes are given.
