Determination of the Effective Lifetime of a Spinor Bose–Einstein Condensate
The effective lifetime of ultra-cold atoms in specific quantum states plays a crucial role in studying interaction parameters within quantum systems. Measuring the effective lifetime of various quantum states within ultra-cold atoms is a fundamental task

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Unveiling a truncated optical lattice associated with a triangular aperture using light’s orbital angular momentum [PDF]
We show that the orbital angular momentum can be used to unveil lattice properties hidden in diffraction patterns of a simple triangular aperture. Depending on the orbital angular momentum of the incident beam, the far field diffraction pattern reveals a

Magnetic quantum phase transition of cold atoms in an optical lattice [PDF]
We propose a scheme to investigate the magnetic phase transition of cold atoms confined in an optical lattice. We also demonstrate how to get coupled two-leg spin ladders which display a phase transition from a spin liquid to magnetic ordered state in ...

One-dimensional phase transitions in a two-dimensional optical lattice
A phase transition for bosonic atoms in a two-dimensional anisotropic optical lattice is considered. If the tunnelling rates in two directions are different, the system can undergo a transition between a two-dimensional superfluid and a one ...
