Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Comparative Study of Thermal Lens Effect in End Pulsed-Pumped Ceramics and Single Crystal Yb3+ YAG- Cr4+ YAG Passively Q-switched Microchip Laser. [PDF]
In this work, different thermal lens focal lengths with different pumping repetition rates for ceramic and single crystal Yb:YAGare calculated for controlling the thermal focal length without using additional optical elements .

In-Well and Barrier Coupling Pump of Semiconductor Disk Laser
We report an in-well and barrier coupling pump scheme of semiconductor disk laser (SDL). An in-well-absorbed (940 nm) and a barrier-absorbed (808 nm) pump source were used to measure laser output characteristics. The output power of the coupling pump can

Theory of double resonance magnetometers based on atomic alignment [PDF]
We present a theoretical study of the spectra produced by optical-radio-frequency double resonance devices, in which resonant linearly polarized light is used in the optical pumping and detection processes. We extend previous work by presenting algebraic

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

A laser head for simultaneous optical pumping of several dye lasers [PDF]
Device accomplishes simultaneous optical pumping using single flashlamp and electrical driver. Dye lasers require relatively low energy to operate (low-threshold pumping requirement) and provide simple method for producing simultaneous independent laser ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Synchronous Spin-Exchange Optical Pumping
We describe a new approach to precision NMR with hyperpolarized gases designed to mitigate NMR frequency shifts due to the alkali spin exchange field. The electronic spin polarization of optically pumped alkali atoms is square-wave modulated at the noble-gas NMR frequency and oriented transverse to the DC Fourier component of the NMR bias field.
