Optical lock-in particle tracking in optical tweezers

open access: yesOptics Express, 2013
We demonstrate a lock-in particle tracking scheme in optical tweezers based on stroboscopic modulation of an illuminating optical field. This scheme is found to evade low frequency noise sources while otherwise producing an equivalent position measurement to continuous measurement.

Retro-Reflective-Marker-Aided Target Pose Estimation in a Safety-Critical Environment

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Visual technologies have an indispensable role in safety-critical applications, where tasks must often be performed through teleoperation. Due to the lack of stereoscopic and motion parallax depth cues in conventional images, alignment tasks pose a ...

Computer generated optical sound tracks

open access: yesProceedings of the December 5-7, 1972, fall joint computer conference, part I on - AFIPS '72 (Fall, part I), 1972
For several years various groups at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory have been using computer generated motion pictures as an output medium for large simulation and analysis codes. Typically, the numerical output from one simulation run is so large that conventional output media are ineffective.

Random Walker Framework for Sensor-Based Echocardiography Fusion

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Image fusion techniques in 3-D echocardiography attempt to improve the field-of-view by combining multiple 3-D ultrasound (3-DUS) volumes. Echocardiography fusion techniques are mostly based on either image registration or sensor tracking.
