On the American style futures contracts
There is a large number of sources devoted to the American style options. On the other hand, the American futures contracts are understudied in the scientific literature.

Boundary Behavior of Optimal Polynomial Approximants [PDF]
In this paper, we provide an efficient method for computing the Taylor coefficients of $1-p_n f$, where $p_n$ denotes the optimal polynomial approximant of degree $n$ to $1/f$ in a Hilbert space $H^2_ω$ of analytic functions over the unit disc $\mathbb{D}$, and $f$ is a polynomial of degree $d$ with $d$ simple zeros.

Quadratic American Strangle Options in Light of Two-Sided Optimal Stopping Problems
The aim of this paper is to examine some American-style financial instruments that lead to two-sided optimal hitting problems. We pay particular attention to derivatives that are similar to strangle options but have a quadratic payoff function.

Degenerate boundaries for multiple-alternative decisions
How animals make multiple-choice decisions over three or more alternatives is not well understood. Here the authors use simulations to uncover that there is not one but many optimal parameter value configurations on the reward landscape of the multiple ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

A Rapid and Automated Urban Boundary Extraction Method Based on Nighttime Light Data in China
As urbanization has progressed over the past 40 years, continuous population growth and the rapid expansion of urban land use have caused some regions to experience various problems, such as insufficient resources and issues related to the environmental ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Wave Enhancement Through Optimization of Boundary Conditions [PDF]
It is well known that changing boundary conditions for the Laplacian from Dirichlet to Neumann can result in significant changes to the associated eigenmodes, while keeping the eigenvalues close. We present a new and efficient approach for optimizing the transmission signal between two points in a cavity at a given frequency, by changing boundary ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
