A Comparison among Portfolio Selection Strategies with Subordinated Lévy Processes [PDF]
In this paper we describe portfolio selection models using Lévy processes. The contribution consists in comparing some portfolio selection strategies under different distributional assumptions. We first implement portfolio models under the hypothesis the

History and structure of the closed pedigreed population of Icelandic Sheepdogs [PDF]
Background - Dog breeds lose genetic diversity because of high selection pressure. Breeding policies aim to minimize kinship and therefore maintain genetic diversity.

Optimal sensor selection for sensor-based sorting based on automated mineralogy data
Assessing the success of sensor-based sorting in the raw materials industry currently requires time-consuming and expensive empirical test work. In this contribution we illustrate the prospects of successful sensor selection based on data acquired by ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
