A sharp subelliptic Sobolev embedding theorem with weights

open access: yes, 2015
The purpose of this short article is to prove some potential estimates that naturally arise in the study of subelliptic Sobolev inequalites for functions.

Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...

Numerical Analysis of a Distributed Optimal Control Problem Governed by an Elliptic Variational Inequality

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
The objective of this work is to make the numerical analysis, through the finite element method with Lagrange’s triangles of type 1, of a continuous optimal control problem governed by an elliptic variational inequality where the control variable is the ...

The forward–backward splitting method for finding the minimum like-norm solution of the mixed variational inequality problem

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2023
We consider a general class of convex optimization problems in which one seeks to minimize a strongly convex function over a closed and convex set, which is by itself an optimal set of another mixed variational inequality problem in a Hilbert space ...

Do all pure entangled states violate Bell's inequalities for correlation functions?

open access: yes, 2002
Any pure entangled state of two particles violates a Bell inequality for two-particle correlation functions (Gisin's theorem). We show that there exist pure entangled N>2 qubit states that do not violate any Bell inequality for N particle correlation ...

Optimal Littlewood-Offord Inequalities in Groups [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorica, 2019
We prove several Littlewood-Offord type inequalities for arbitrary groups. In groups having elements of finite order the worst case scenario is provided by the simple random walk on a certain cyclic subgroup. The inequalities we obtain are optimal if the underlying group contains an element of certain order.

An Increasing Misalignment Between Crop Distribution and Environmental Resources Under Climate Change in China

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Climate change reshapes the spatial alignment between crop production and environmental resources. Using multi‐source data and a crop model, integrated climatic, water, and soil endowments for maize and wheat are quantified and compared with harvest distributions.

Optimal Control Problem for Some Degenerate Variation Inequality: Attainability Problem

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications, 2018
We study an optimal control problem for degenerate elliptic variation inequality with degenerate weight function of potential type in the  so-called class of H-admissible solutions.

Weighted fast diffusion equations (Part I): Sharp asymptotic rates without symmetry and symmetry breaking in Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we consider a family of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg interpolation inequalities (CKN), with two radial power law weights and exponents in a subcritical range.
