Optimal Design Of English Auctions With Discrete Bid Levels [PDF]
This paper considers a form of ascending price English auction widely used in both live and online auctions. This discrete bid auction requires that the bidders submit bids at predetermined discrete bid levels, and thus, there exists a minimal increment ...

Optimal eight-order three-step iterative methods for solving systems of nonlinear equations
In this paper, we for the first time propose the extension of optimal eighth-order methods to multidimensional case. It is shown that these extensions maintained the optimality properties of the original methods.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Discrete-time model-based Iterative Learning Control: stability, monotonicity and robustness [PDF]
In this thesis a new robustness analysis for model-based Iterative Learning Control (ILC) is presented. ILC is a method of control for systems that are required to track a reference signal in a repetitive manner.

Learning Environmental Parameters For The Design Of Optimal English Auctions With Discrete Bid Levels [PDF]
In this paper we consider the optimal design of English auctions with discrete bid levels. Such auctions are widely used in online internet settings and our aim is to automate their configuration in order that they generate the maximum revenue for the ...

On the numerical solving of one minimization problem
In this paper we consider the dependence of iterative methods convergence rate on iterative parameters selection. We propose the numerical algorithm determination of the optimal iterative parameters.
