RF‐Shielding of Laser‐Cut Venous Stents: Calculations, Simulations, and Experiments
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop an analytical model of the RF‐shielding of laser‐cut venous stents for different orientations and stent geometries. Methods Laser‐cut venous stents are modeled as a grid composed of circular and rectangular loops. As these loops are orthogonal they shield different components of the transmit RF field.

On modified Mellin transforms, Gauss-Laguerre quadrature, and the valuation of American call options [PDF]
We extend a framework based on Mellin transforms and show how to modify the approach to value American call options on dividend paying stocks. We present a new integral equation to determine the price of an American call option and its free boundary ...

This study investigates the effect of cerebral and vascular (beta‐amyloid) Aβ on regional myeloarchitecture and lipid composition in a murine model of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The study highlights the feasibility of quantitative MRI and chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) imaging to identify multiple biophysical mechanisms involved in ...

Optimal quadrature formulae on the real line
Quadrature formulas with equidistant nodes on the real line, involving a sequence of derivatives are treated. In this class, an optimal quadrature formula is obtained for the Sobolev space of functions with an additional restriction on its Fourier transforms. An explicit expression for the error is given.

Homogenization With Guaranteed Bounds via Primal‐Dual Physically Informed Neural Networks
ABSTRACT Physics‐informed neural networks (PINNs) have shown promise in solving partial differential equations (PDEs) relevant to multiscale modeling, but they often fail when applied to materials with discontinuous coefficients, such as media with piecewise constant properties. This paper introduces a dual formulation for the PINN framework to improve

ABSTRACT This article addresses the problem of quantifying the uncertainty in planning aircraft ground movement operations using towbarless robotic tractors taking into account the inherent uncertainties of the problem, specifically, the uncertainties in the weight of the aircraft and in the rolling resistance of the wheels of the main landing gear ...

Optimal quadrature formulas with derivatives in Sobolev space
In the present paper the problem of construction of optimal quadrature formulas in the sense of Sard in the space $L_2^{(m)}(0,1)$is considered. Here the quadrature sum consists of values of the integrand at nodes and values of the first and the third derivatives of the integrand at the end points of the integration interval.

This study carefully examines the mixed convection heat transport properties of a water–Al2O3 nanofluid inside a corrugated chamber with heated baffles in the shape of a star. The effects of different Rayleigh numbers, nanoparticle volume fractions, and baffle placement are carefully evaluated, and the cavity is subjected to buoyancy forces. The finite
