Necessary optimality conditions for fractional action-like problems with intrinsic and observer times [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We prove higher-order Euler-Lagrange and DuBois-Reymond stationary conditions to fractional action-like variational problems.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

ε-MAXIMUM PRINCIPLE IN LINEAR PROBLEM OF HYBRID SYSTEM OPTIMUM CONTROL

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2009
The paper reveals necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality and sub-optimality of the programs for a hybrid system in the class of discrete control actions. The conditions are formulated in the support terms of  the initial problem.

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Measuring Tax Efficiency: A Tax Optimality Index [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper introduces an index of tax optimality that measures the distance of a current tax structure from the optimal tax structure in the presence of public goods.

Decrease Functions and Optimality Conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We give necessary, and sufficient, conditions for optimality in nonlinear programming, in terms of suitable decrease functions of the objective and constraint ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

On alternative theorems and necessary conditions for efficiency [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we establish theorems of the alternative for a system described by inequalities, equalities and an inclusion, which are generalizations of Tucker's classical theorem of the alternative, and develop Kuhn-Tucker necessary conditions for ...
