Optimum Temperatures for Postburn Cooling
Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, 1965IT IS NOW well established that the tissue damage 2,7 and death rates 6 which follow experimental burns can be significantly lessened by the early application of surface cooling. This finding has important implications for first aid and for the management of mass casualty burns.

Optimum compress temperature for wound hemostasis
Journal of Surgical Research, 1979Abstract Compress temperatures to hasten hemostasis in surgically incised wounds have been studied. On the basis of the present data, we recommend the use of warm compresses at a temperature of 49°C to accelerate hemostasis in surgically incised wounds. Cold applications to open surgical wounds should be avoided.

Optimum Compaction Temperature for Modified Binders
Journal of Transportation Engineering, 2003With increasing use of modified asphalt binders, the correct compaction temperature range for asphalt mixtures containing these binders needs to be determined. The current procedure uses asphalt binder viscosities to determine the compaction temperature range.

Optimum temperature sequences in reactors

Optimum temperatures in pyrolysis gas chromatography
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1968Pyrograms were recorded for a variety of compounds pyrolyzed in the gas phase in a quartz tube. The lowest temperature at which the major pyrolytic products are first formed and the lowest temperatures causing complete pyrolysis were determined and found to differ by about 80–120 °C. The temperatures of complete pyrolysis at the described experimental

Optimum Wavelength Intervals for Surface Temperature Radiometry
Applied Optics, 1966Total reflectance measurements of some common surface minerals in the wavelength interval 0.5 micro to 23 micro show pronounced reflection maxima in some regions used for radiometric measurements of planetary surface temperatures. Variations in emissivity in the regions of such maxima could introduce significant errors into such temperature ...
