Three‐Step Synthesis Toward Fluorene‐Based Non‐Fused‐Ring Acceptors for Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Applying a simple three step synthesis strategy leads to two fluorene‐based non‐fused‐ring electron acceptors, FHM‐Cl and FHM‐F for organic solar cells. The chlorinated variant delivers markedly higher efficiency due to broader light harvesting and favorable molecular packing, resulting in improved charge transport and reduced recombination losses ...

Dual Acid Responses of Stable Luminescent Diphenylpyridylmethyl Radicals With Additional Pyridyl Groups

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
To expand the acid‐responsive behavior of diphenylpyridylmethyl stable luminescent radicals, additional pyridyl groups were introduced. Dual acid responsiveness was observed, involving both the newly incorporated pyridyl groups and the PyBTM moieties.

S‐Doped Carbon Nitride Thin Films From a Triazole Precursor

open access: yesCarbon Innovation, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐functionalized carbon nitride thin films are synthesized via low‐temperature chemical vapor deposition using a triazole‐derived precursor. Tunable sulfur incorporation modulates electronic and optical properties and enables efficient visible‐light photocatalysis with high conversion and selectivity.

Modelling Tunable Integrated Optoelectronic Oscillators

open access: yes2024 Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics (ICOP)
Optoelectronic oscillators (OEOs) are recognized for their ability to generate ultra-low phase noise and high-frequency microwave (MW) signals, surpassing traditional electronic oscillators. Recent research has focused on creating wideband tunable and compact integrated OEOs to minimize size and improve stability, which is essential for applications ...

Phosphorescent Platinum(II) Complexes With Diazinedipyrrolide Pincer Ligands: Structure and Photophysical Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A new family of phosphorescent Pt(II) complexes with pyrimidinedipyrrolide ligands, including a pyrazine analog, was designed and synthesized. Their emission properties can be finely tuned via ligand modification, revealing strong phosphorescence originating from intraligand charge transfer transitions.

Photoinduced Solution‐Stable Radicals via Intramolecular Charge Separation From anti‐Kasha Emissive BN‐Azepines

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
A series of BN‐azepines with a twisted heptagonal B–N donor–acceptor framework was synthesized, enabling stable photoinduced radicals in solution. Upon photoexcitation, charge separation between the triarylamine donor and boron acceptor yields a longer‐lived triplet state, which can generate a nitrogen radical cation through electron transfer.

Simulation of optoelectronic oscillator injection locking, pulling & spiking phenomena

open access: yesScientific Reports
Complex envelope and reduced phase simulation models describing the dynamical behaviour of an optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) under injection by an external source are described. The models build on the foundations of a previously reported delay integral/

Heteroatom location‐ and orientation mode‐dependent reverse intersystem crossing rate in multiple resonance emitters

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
By constructing two pairs of isomers with different heteroatom anchoring positions, the relationship between heteroatom location and orientation mode and reverse intersystem crossing rate constant (kRISC) in multiple resonance (MR) emitters is systematically investigated.
