Tirzepatide and Cardiovascular Outcomes: A Narrative Review of Mechanisms, Efficacy and Implications for Heart Failure Management

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
Integrated framework for tirzepatide in HFpEF management. Through metabolic, haemodynamic, structural and anti‐inflammatory pathways, tirzepatide modifies the disease trajectory of HFpEF, leading to improvements in symptoms, functional capacity and reduction in HF events.

Sulfated Polysaccharides in the Hallmarks of Metabolic Syndrome: Functions and Mechanisms

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
The SPs sources are very diverse, including various fishes, sea cucumbers, seaweeds, etc. These SPs are able to improve the glucose and lipid metabolism disorders, hormonal dysregulation, oxidative stress, inflammatory response, complications, and gut homeostasis of MetS by regulating biochemical indicators related to MetS. ABSTRACT Metabolic syndrome (

New Insights Into Ginseng and Clove Supplementation: Alleviating Obesity by Reducing Leptin Resistance and Reshaping the Gut Microbiota

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
AEGC conferred substantial resistance to weight gain and reduced food intake. AEGC may alleviate LR by regulating the levels of LEP and ADP. AEGC elevated the diversity of gut microbiota and reconstructed the composition. Changes such as CAG‐873 in gut microbiota may be the reason why AEGC alleviates LR.

Fuc‐S, a New Degraded Polysaccharide From Fucoidan, Alleviates Type 2 Diabetes‐Associated Liver Injury Through Modulating Gut Microbiota

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Fuc‐S alleviated type 2 diabetes‐associated liver injury through gut microbiota‐SCFA‐liver axis regulation. Fuc‐S treatment significantly improved glucose tolerance, lipid metabolism, and liver function, while reducing hepatic steatosis and serum ALT/AST levels. Fuc‐S reinforced intestinal barrier integrity by upregulating tight junction proteins (ZO‐1

Glucose‐Lowering Properties of a Tea Formulation Containing Citrullus lanatus Peel, Ananas comosus Peel, and Mentha spicata L. Leaf Extracts in Dexamethasone‐Induced Insulin‐Resistant Wistar Rats

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
The optimized tea blend exhibited high antioxidant activity and contained significant amounts of flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols, and vitamin C. In diabetic rats, the tea formulation significantly improved glycemic control, reduced lipid profiles, and enhanced liver and kidney function.
