A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Medication exposure during pregnancy: a pilot pharmacovigilance system using health and demographic surveillance platform [PDF]
There is limited safety information on most drugs used during pregnancy. This is especially true for medication against tropical diseases because pharmacovigilance systems are not much developed in these settings.

Iron supplementation in goitrous, iron-deficient children improves their response to oral iodized oil [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: In developing countries, many children are at high risk for both goiter and iron-deficiency anemia. Because iron deficiency may impair thyroid metabolism, the aim of this study was to determine if iron supplementation improves the response to oral iodine in goitrous, iron-deficient anemic children.

Oral iron supplements for children in malaria-endemic areas
Iron deficiency anaemia is a common nutritional disorder among children in malaria-endemic regions and is associated with adverse developmental and health outcomes. However, concerns have been raised that iron supplementation might increase the risk of malaria by enhancing parasite growth, particularly in areas lacking adequate malaria prevention and ...

This study demonstrates that transcription factor androgen receptor (AR) directly binds the LF promoter, driving lactoferrin overexpression to promote ferritin (FTH1/FTL) upregulation and inhibit p53‐ALOX12‐mediated ferroptosis in prostate cancer. Lactoferrin could be a new potential therapeutic target in prostate cancer.
