Multi-objective optimisation of many-revolution, low-thrust orbit raising for Destiny mission

open access: yes, 2013
This work will present a Multi-Objective approach to the design of the initial, Low-Thrust orbit raising phase for JAXA’s proposed technology demonstrator mission DESTINY.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Precise Maneuver Calibration for Remote Sensing Satellites

open access: yes, 2006
Orbit maintenance maneuvers are performed as necessary to maintain the spacecrafts trajectory to within a specified tolerance relative to a set of predefined reference orbital parameters as depicted by the mission objectives. After each executed maneuver,

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Analysis and application of 1-way laser ranging data from Wettzell station to LRO

open access: yes, 2012
One-way LR (Laser Ranging) is performed routinely from ILRS (International Laser Ranging Service) ground stations to the LOLA (Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter) instrument which is onboard NASA’s LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter).

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

An aerostable drag-sail device for the deorbit and disposal of sub-tonne, low earth orbit spacecraft [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
There is an increasing amount of debris in low Earth orbit arising from the disintegration and collision of old spacecraft which have not been removed from orbit. A ‘bolt-on’ deorbit device to be attached to new spacecraft is therefore proposed, which
