Parallel satellite orbit prediction using a workstation cluster
AbstractIn this paper, the benefits of parallel computing using a workstation cluster are explored for satellite orbit prediction. Data and function decomposition techniques are used. Speedup and throughput are the performance metric studied. The software employed for parallelization was the Parallel Virtual Machine (PVM) developed by the Oak Ridge ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Determination of GPS orbits to submeter accuracy [PDF]
Orbits for satellites of the Global Positioning System (GPS) were determined with submeter accuracy. Tests used to assess orbital accuracy include orbit comparisons from independent data sets, orbit prediction, ground baseline determination, and formal ...

Prediction of the aerodynamic performance of re-usable single stage to orbit vehicles [PDF]
Re-usable single stage to orbit launch vehicles promise to reduce the cost of access to space, but their success will be particularly reliant on accurate modelling of their aero-thermodynamic characteristics.
