Determining the dimensionality of bipartite orbital-angular-momentum entanglement using multi-sector phase masks [PDF]
The Shannon dimensionality of orbital-angular-momentum (OAM) entanglement produced in spontaneous parametric down-conversion can be probed by using multi-sector phase analysers [1].

On the dragging of light by a rotating medium [PDF]
When light is passing through a rotating medium the optical polarization is rotated. Recently, it has been reasoned that this rotation applies also to the transmitted image.

Orbital-angular-momentum-enhanced estimation of sub-Heisenberg-limited angular displacement with two-mode squeezed vacuum and parity detection [PDF]
We report on an orbital-angular-momentum-enhanced scheme for angular displacement estimation based on two-mode squeezed vacuum and parity detection.

Flux enhancement of photons entangled in orbital angular momentum [PDF]
Entangled photons are generally collected by detection systems that select their certain spatial modes, for example using single-mode optical fibers.

QUARK ORBITAL ANGULAR MOMENTUM IN THE BARYON [PDF]
Analytical and numerical results, for the orbital and spin content carried by different quark flavors in the baryons, are given in the chiral quark model with symmetry breaking. The reduction of the quark spin, due to the spin dilution in the chiral splitting processes, is transferred into the orbital motion of quarks and antiquarks.

Orbital Angular Momentum for Wireless Communications [PDF]
As the traditional resources (frequency, time, space, etc.) are efficiently utilized, it becomes more and more challenging to satisfy the ever-lasting capacity-growing and users-boosting demand in wireless networks. Recently, the electromagnetic (EM) wave was found to possess not only linear momentum, but also angular momentum.

Spin-constrained orbital-angular-momentum control in high-harmonic generation
The interplay between spin and orbital angular momentum in the up-conversion process allows us to control the macroscopic wave front of high harmonics by manipulating the microscopic polarizations of the driving field.

Photoionization with orbital angular momentum beams
Intense laser ionization expands Einstein's photoelectric effect rules giving a wealth of phenomena widely studied over the last decades. In all cases, so far, photons were assumed to carry one unit of angular momentum. However it is now clear that photons can possess extra angular momentum, the orbital angular momentum (OAM), related to their spatial ...

Optical trapping with a perfect vortex beam [PDF]
The authors would like to thank the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for funding.Vortex beams with different topological charge usually have different profiles and radii of peak intensity.
