Laser‐Synthesized Amorphous PdSe2‐x Nanoparticles: A Defect‐Rich Platform for High‐Efficiency SERS, Photocatalysis, and Photothermal Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Using femtosecond ablation, we show that an ordered, stoichiometric crystalline PdSe2 target can be controllably converted into a stable, disordered, non‐stoichiometric, and highly functional amorphous nanomaterial, PdSe2−x${\rm PdSe}_{2-x}$. The obtained nanoparticles offer significant advantages over conventional planar plasmon‐free substrates due to

Solution‐Processed Spin‐Polarized Light‐Emitting Diodes of Colloidal Quantum Wells and Magnetic Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
All‐solution‐processed spin‐LEDs based on colloidal Fe3O4 nanoparticles and CdSe/CdZnS core/shell CQWs that allows for polarization modulation of electroluminescence are fabricated. With these devices, electrical injection of spin‐polarized carriers from the Fe3O4 nanoparticle layer into the CdSe/CdZnS CQWs is demonstrated, realizing circularly ...

p16INK4A expression is frequently increased in periorbital and ocular squamous lesions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Backgroundp16 expression is a well established biomarker of cervical dysplasia and carcinoma arising from high risk human papilloma virus infection. Increased p16 expression is also seen in squamous neoplasms arising at other sites, including head, neck,

Myxoma of the orbit.

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2003
Myxomas are rare, benign neoplasms of mesenchymal origin that usually develop in soft tissues. As the clinical manifestations are non-specific, it is difficult to diagnose the tumour without biopsy and histopathological examination.
