Biocompatibility of iron carbide and detection of metals ions signaling proteomic analysis via HPLC/ESI-Orbitrap

open access: yes, 2017
Recently, magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) have been extensively used in food industry and biomedical treatments. However, the biocompatibility mechanism on expression proteomics, before consideration of magnetic NPs for clinical application, has not yet ...

D4F‐Functionalized Ceria Nanozyme‐CasRx Platform Suppresses STING and Reprograms the Renal Immune Niche in Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
D4F‐functionalized ceria nanozyme–CasRx nanoparticles preferentially target renal macrophages through SR‐B1‐mediated uptake in ischemia–reperfusion injury. Ceria scavenges excessive ROS, while CasRx silences STING signaling, shifting macrophages toward a less inflammatory, pro‐resolving state and increasing the proportion of regulatory T cells.

Nrsn1–Smarcc1 Coupling Regulates Neural Stem Cell Differentiation and Chronic‐phase Recovery After Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the post‐stroke brain, Foxa2 induces the transcriptional upregulation of Nrsn1 in NSCs. Nrsn1 functionally couples with Smarcc1, modulating its nuclear availability and protein abundance, thereby influencing Smarcc1‐associated regulatory programs linked to neuronal lineage commitment. Through this coupling, Nrsn1 promotes the differentiation of NSCs

Unlocking Long‐Lived Charge‐Separated State in Pentamethine Cyanine Based on Anionic Hofmeister Effect for Photodynamic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the anionic Hofmeister effect, a universal strategy of incorporation of stereo‐π anion BPh4− into a series of Cy5 skeletons to unlock long‐lived charge‐separated states was reported, wherein the weak electronic coupling and low charge recombination driving force hinder the charge recombination process, elevating the oxygen‐independent ROS ...

Bone Marrow Macrophage STING Signaling is a Direct Nexus Linking Marrow Adipose Expansion to NAD+ Depletion and Osteogenic Decline in Skeletal Aging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that during skeletal aging, bone marrow adipocyte‐derived sDPP4 primes STING signaling in macrophages. In combination with mitochondrial DNA, this signaling activates CD38 and depletes local NAD+/NMN, thereby impairing osteogenesis.

Identification and quantification of immunoglobulin G (G1, G2, G3 and G4) in human blood plasma by high-resolution quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometry

open access: yes, 2017
We described a method for quantification of IgG (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4) in a small amount of human blood plasma using high-resolution quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometry (HR-Q-Orbitrap-MS).

Longitudinal Multifrequency MR Elastography Reveals Biomechanical Signatures of Progression in a Translational Liver Tumor Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Longitudinal multifrequency magnetic resonance elastography (mMRE) performed on a clinical 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging system reveals early biomechanical alterations during liver tumor progression in a translational VX2 model. Changes in tumor stiffness and viscosity precede diffusion‐related alterations and are associated with extracellular ...

UPLC-Orbitrap-HRMS application for analysis of plasma sterols

open access: yesAnalytica Chimica Acta
Correct identification and quantification of different sterol biomarkers can be used as a first-line diagnostic approach for inherited metabolic disorders (IMD). The main drawbacks of current methodologies are related to lack of selectivity and sensitivity for some of these compounds.

Mutant KRAS‐m6A Epitranscriptome Axis Promotes Colorectal Cancer and is a Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mutant KRAS‐m6A axis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) progression. Mutant KRAS stabilizes METTL3, leading to increased m6A‐modified BCL9L mRNA and translation of BCL9L protein. BCL9L in turn mediates TGF‐β secretion to induce differentiation of Treg and an immunosuppressive microenvironment.
