Implementation of a laboratory batching procedure with a correction for fines and moisture

open access: yesInfraestructura Vial, 2016
The selection of an appropriate aggregate structure is a key step during mix design since this directly affects mix performance and the amount of asphalt in the mix.

Image Denoising Algorithm Based on Gradient Domain Guided Filtering and NSST

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Traditional image denoising methods, which do not depend on data training, have good interpretability. However, traditional image denoising methods hardly achieve the denoising effect of deep learning methods.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Solving the Order Planning Problem at the Steelmaking Shops by Considering Logistics Balance on the Plant-Wide Process

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
With regard to the characteristics of long process, multi-units, cross-logistics and batch production mode, the order planning problem at the steelmaking shop is studied with consideration of the plant-wide process logistics balance.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Hybrid Genetic Algorithms for Order Assignment and Batching in Picking System: A Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesIEEE Access
The Order-Picking System (OPS) is vital for inbound logistics, ensuring efficient customer order fulfillment and minimizing costs. Efficient execution and implementation of OPS are critical to meeting customer demands and reducing dissatisfaction ...

A Mixed Integer Linear Formulation and a Grouping League Championship Algorithm for a Multiperiod-Multitrip Order Picking System with Product Replenishment to Minimize Total Tardiness

open access: yesComplexity, 2022
Order picking, which is collecting a set of products from different locations in a warehouse, has repeatedly been described as one of the most laborious and time-consuming internal logistic processes. Each order is issued to pick some products located at

Order batching problems: Taxonomy and literature review

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Operational Research
Order Batching is a family of optimization problems related to the process of picking items in a warehouse as part of supply chain management. Problems classified into this category are those whose picking policy consists of grouping the orders received in a warehouse into batches, prior to starting the picking process.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
