Gauss-Bonnet modified gravity and energy conditions

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this work we explore the viability of modified gravity models within the f(G, T) framework, where G denotes the Gauss-Bonnet invariant and T the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. The study analyzes three functional forms of f(G, T) by examining the

Some Sufficient Conditions for Starlikeness and Convexity of Order

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We derive certain sufficient conditions for starlikeness and convexity of order of analytic functions in the unit disk. Applications are indicated for the subordination results to electromagnetic cloaking.

Second-Order Optimality Conditions in Cone-Constrained Vector Optimization with Arbitrary Nondifferentiable Functions

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we introduce a new second-order directional derivative and a second-order subdifferential of Hadamard type for an arbitrary nondifferentiable function.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Higher-Order Optimality Conditions and Higher-Order Tangent Sets [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Optimization, 2017
We present a simple approach to an analysis of higher order approximations to sets and functions. The objects we study are not of a specific order; they include objects of order 2 and m with m not necessarily an integer. We deduce from these concepts optimality conditions of higher order and we establish some calculus rules.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

The Condition Order Spectrum

open access: yesJournal of Al-Qadisiyah for Computer Science and Mathematics, 2017
In this paper, we will study the relation between complex character   and the condition order spectrum   in real and complex ordered Banach algebra  .We prove many properties on it,s . afterwards, we prove that  is upper semi continuous Finally we will show the relation between condition Quasinilpotent  and the radical .

Linear second order elliptic partial differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions at resonance without landesman-lazer conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We are concerned with the solvability of linear second order elliptic partial differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions at resonance, in which the nonlinear boundary conditions perturbation is not necessarily required to satisfy Landesman-

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Green’s Matrices for First Order Differential Systems with Nonlocal Conditions∗

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we investigate the linear system of first order ordinary differential equations with nonlocal conditions. Green’s matrices, their explicit representations and properties are considered as well.
