Farey sequence in the appearance of subharmonic Shapiro steps
Largest Lyapunov exponent has been examined in the dynamical-mode locking phenomena of the ac+dc driven dissipative Frenkel-Kontorova model with deformable substrate potential.

Chiral and Color-superconducting Phase Transitions with Vector Interaction in a Simple Model (Addenda) [PDF]
In the preceding paper(Prog.Theor.Phys.108(2002)929 or hep-ph/0207255), we have shown that the critical line of the first order chiral transition of QCD can have two endpoints.

Online Metric-Weighted Linear Representations for Robust Visual Tracking
In this paper, we propose a visual tracker based on a metric-weighted linear representation of appearance. In order to capture the interdependence of different feature dimensions, we develop two online distance metric learning methods using proximity ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Visual Tracking via Adaptive Random Projection Based on Sub-Regions
This paper aims to track arbitrary single target object in a video sequence given its location in the first frame and no other information. In order to track the location and further reduce the influence of occlusion, a part-based appearance model is ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Territorial'naja struktura i oblik Kaliningrada [The territorial structure and appearance of Kaliningrad] [PDF]
This article combines two approaches to the analysis of the appearance and territorial structure of Kaliningrad. One approach is based on the field study, the other — on the examination of documents.

Planckian Scattering Beyond the Eikonal Approximation in the Functional Approach
In the framework of functional integration the non-leading terms to leading eikonal behavior of the Planckian-energy scattering amplitude are calculated by the straight-line path approximation.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
