Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Complete convergence for arrays of minimal order statistics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2004
For arrays of independent Pareto random variables, this paper establishes complete convergence for weighted partial sums for the smaller order statistics within each row. This result improves on past strong laws.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Generalized convergence analysis of the fractional order systems

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2018
The aim of the present work is to generalize the contraction theory for the analysis of the convergence of fractional order systems for both continuous-time and discrete-time systems.

Evaluation of a Novel Electric Health Record Sidecar Application to Display Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Outcomes During Clinic Visits: Results of a Stepped‐Wedge Cluster Randomized Pragmatic Trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We developed a novel electronic health record sidecar application to visualize key rheumatoid arthritis (RA) outcomes, including disease activity, physical function, and pain, via a patient‐facing graphical interface designed for use during outpatient visits (“RA PRO dashboard”).

Ball Comparison for Some Efficient Fourth Order Iterative Methods Under Weak Conditions

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
We provide a ball comparison between some 4-order methods to solve nonlinear equations involving Banach space valued operators. We only use hypotheses on the first derivative, as compared to the earlier works where they considered conditions reaching up ...

Highly efficient numerical scheme for solving fuzzy system of linear and non-linear equations with application in differential equations

open access: yesApplied Mathematics in Science and Engineering, 2022
In this research, we suggested a numerical iterative scheme for investigating the numerical solution of fuzzy linear and nonlinear systems of equations, particularly where the linear or nonlinear system co-efficient is a crisp number and the right-hand ...

New highly accurate iterative method of third order convergence for finding the multiple roots of nonlinear equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We present a new third order convergence iterative method for m multiple roots of nonlinear equation. The proposed method requires one evaluation of function and two evaluations of the first derivative of function.

On convergence of the maximum block improvement method

open access: yes, 2015
. The MBI (maximum block improvement) method is a greedy approach to solving optimization problems where the decision variables can be grouped into a finite number of blocks. Assuming that optimizing over one block of variables while fixing all others is
