Program Units as Higher-Order Modules
AbstractWe have designed a new module language called program units. Units support separate compilation, independent module reuse, cyclic dependencies, hierarchical structuring, and dynamic linking. In this paper, we present untyped and typed models of units.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Bootstrap tests for unit root AR(1) models [PDF]
In this paper, we propose bootstrap tests for unit roots in first-order autoregressive models. We provide the bootstrap functional limit theory needed to prove the asymptotic validity of these tests both for independent and autoregressive errors; in this

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Third-Order Fuzzy Subordination and Superordination on Analytic Functions on Punctured Unit Disk
This work’s theorems and corollaries present new third-order fuzzy differential subordination and superordination results developed by using a novel convolution linear operator involving the Gaussian hypergeometric function and a previously studied ...

A High Order Iterative Scheme for a Nonlinear Kirchhoff Wave Equation in the Unit Membrane
A high-order iterative scheme is established in order to get a convergent sequence at a rate of order N (N≥1) to a local unique weak solution of a nonlinear Kirchhoff wave equation in the unit membrane.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Proper and unit bitolerance orders and graphs
An order \(\prec\) is a tolerance order on a set of vertices if one may assign to each vertex \(x\) an interval \(I_x\) of real numbers and a real number \(t_x\) called a tolerance in such a way that \(x\prec y\) if and only if the overlap of \(I_x\) and \(I_y\) is less than the minimum of \(t_x\) and \(t_y\) and the center of \(I_x\) is less than the ...
