KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Atomless Lattice-Ordered Groups
We show the existence of atomless lattice-ordered groups which have doubly transitive representations. In so doing, we answer a question of M. Giraudet from 1981 [4].

On the orders of finite semisimple groups [PDF]
It is a theorem of Artin, Tits et al. that a finite simple group is determined by its order, with the exception of the groups (A_3(2), A_2(4)) and (B_n(q), C_n(q)) for n > 2, q odd. We investigate the situation for finite semisimple groups of Lie type.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Highlights A fluorinated zincophilic covalent organic framework (COF-S-F) with sulfonic acid group (-SO3H) is prepared on the surface of Zn anode, which promotes the desolvation of hydrated Zn ions and inhibits the side reactions.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Mono‐ and bimetallic MOF‐74 samples with different ratios of Mg2+ and Ni2+ (9:1, 7:3, and 1:1), as well as Ni‐MOF‐74 analogs with different pore sizes and functionalities, were loaded with water through the exposure to a controlled relative humidity.

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

We introduce an extension of fixed-point logic ($\mathsf{FP}$) with a group-order operator ($\mathsf{ord}$), that computes the size of a group generated by a definable set of permutations. This operation is a generalization of the rank operator ($\mathsf{rk}$). We show that $\mathsf{FP} + \mathsf{ord}$ constitutes a new candidate logic for the class of
