Weight and morphometric growth of different strains of tilapia (Oreochromis sp) [PDF]
The objective of this study was to evaluate the morphometric growth and weight gain of strains of tilapia (Thai, Red, UFLA and Commercial) by nonlinear models. Initially, 500 male fingerlings of each strain, at 85 (Red and UFLA) and 86 (Thai and Commercial) days of age, were stocked separately in raceways with 56 m³.

Effect of lead on the morphology of erythrocytes in red tilapia (Oreochromis sp.)
The study investigated the effect of lead at concentrations of 0.5 mgL-1, 1.0 mgL-1, 1.5 mgL-1 on the morphology of red blood cells in Oreochromis sp. Experimental results showed that at lead concentrations of 0.5 mgL-1, 1.0 mgL-1, 1.5 mgL-1, the size of the major axis of erythrocytes decreases gradually compared to the control, decreased from 10.177±0.

Abstract The immobilization of lipase B from Candida antarctica (CALB) on an amino‐epoxy functionalized magnetic support (Fe3O4‐PEI‐DGEBA) resulted in a highly stable and efficient biocatalyst for biofuel production from tilapia oil. The synthesized support was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray ...
